Sundance Channel Asia and Europe to Celebrate the Oscars With Special ''In the House With Peter Bart and Peter Guber'' Marathon

March 6, 2010 Lineup Features Up-Close Interviews with 15 of this Year’s Nominees

New York, February 24, 2010 - Sundance Channel has scheduled a special treat for film fans in Europe and Asia. In celebration of the 2010 Academy Awards® ceremony, the channel will air a marathon of its celebrity talkfest, "In the House with Peter Bart and Peter Guber," on March 6, 2010, featuring multiple "Best Picture" nominated films, as well as exclusive interviews with 15 of this year’s nominees. Each back-to-back episode of the film industry news/interview show will pair Bart and/or Guber with another industry icon for a must-watch build-up to the Oscars®.

Featured nominee interviews include Morgan Freeman (Invictus), Kathryn Bigelow, Mark Boal & Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker), Gabourey Sidible & Lee Daniels (Precious), Stanley Tucci (The Lovely Bones), Quentin Tarantino & Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds), Carey Muligan (An Education,), Helen Mirren & Christopher Plummer (The Last Station), Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart), Woody Harrelson (The Messenger) and Colin Firth (A Single Man).

The action begins in Europe and Asia at 7:00pm, March 6, 2010, with 12 back-to-back episodes. Schedule highlights (including nominations) follow:

7:00pm
Morgan Freeman (Actor in a Leading Role) and Laurie McClearly talk to Peter Bart about their inspirational film, Invictus.

7:30pm
Peter Bart discusses with Kathryn Bigelow (Achievement in Directing) and Mark Boal (Original Screenplay) their Iraqi War film, The Hurt Locker (Best Picture).

8:00pm
Peter Guber talks to up-and-coming star Gabourey Sidible (Actress in a Leading Role) and Lee Daniels (Achievement in Directing) about their new film, Precious (Best Picture), based on the novel by Sapphire. Stanley Tucci (Actor in a Supporting Role) speaks about his role as a murderer in The Lovely Bones.

8:30pm
Peter Bart quizzes Quentin Tarantino (Achievement in Directing; Original Screenplay) on his recent hit Inglourious Basterds (Best Picture) and his hope for the Oscars®. Carey Muligan (Actress in a Leading Role) and Lone Scherif discuss their new movie An Education (Best Picture).

9:00pm
Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot discuss their upcoming production of the live Oscars® broadcast. Christopher Waltz (Actor in a Supporting Role) chats about his role in Inglourious Basterds (Best Picture).

Peter Guber talks to his close friend Jeff Bridges (Actor in a Leading Role for Crazy Heart) about life in the country, his parental influences, and winning awards.

Christopher Plummer (Actor in a Supporting Role for The Last Station,) chats about his legendary career. Wes Anderson discusses the difference between shooting action films and animations.

Woody Harrelson (Actor in a Supporting Role) discusses his experience on The Messenger (Original Screenplay) while Broderick Johnson discusses The Blind Side (Best Picture).

Peter Guber jokes around with George Lopez about life, comedy and his thoughts on social networking. Former Disney helmer Michael Eisner dishes on his new venture, The Tornante Company," and internet series "The Booth."

11:30pm
Jeremy Renner (Best Actor) shares thoughts on his nominated role in The Hurt Locker (Best Picture), the training behind EOD and his secret ambitions to star in a musical. Colin Firth (Best Actor) discusses his nominated role in A Single Man, how he is tormented by his appearance in Mamma Mia, and how his next role is to play a drag-queen.
