David Evans

Senior Vice President, Broadband

Rainbow Media Holdings LLC

As senior vice president of broadband, David Evans is responsible for the continued development of the acquisition strategy, brand development and content distribution across new media platforms for Rainbow Media and its popular and award-winning entertainment brands, including AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel, WE tv, Wedding Central and IFC Entertainment. He was named to this post in January 2007.

Mr. Evans’ efforts center on building an infrastructure for Rainbow Media that will extend the reach of the company and its brands on the Internet, wireless devices and other broadband-enabled in-home entertainment and consumer electronics. Mr. Evans also serves as a strategic partner to the heads of Rainbow Media’s brands to help them maximize the value of their programming content in the evolving media landscape, including identifying strategic partnerships, new business opportunities and additional revenue seeking opportunities through both content and advertising sales.

Prior to joining Rainbow Media, Mr. Evans served as general manager of digital at New York Magazine for nearly five years. During this period, nymag.com developed into one of the leading magazine industry web businesses reaching local and national audiences, culminating in the Magazine Publisher’s of America Website of the Year Award and National Magazine Award for Interactive Feature.

Before joining the online group for New York Magazine, Mr. Evans served as vice president of marketing and internet operations for PRIMEDIA, Inc., developing and executing strategies to expand enthusiast magazine brands into multi-media franchises. Earlier in his career, he held marketing posts at Nerve Media, Interactive Media Group and Dell Computer Corporation.

Mr. Evans earned his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.
