Mike DiPasquale
Executive Vice President, Operations
As executive vice president of operations, Mike DiPasquale oversees key areas of Rainbow Media’s corporate infrastructure, which are designed to support its popular and award-winning entertainment brands, including AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel, WE tv, Wedding Central and IFC Entertainment. His responsibilities include oversight of Rainbow Post & Media Services, Rainbow Media’s post-production facility; Rainbow Network Communications (RNC), the company’s full service network programming origination and distribution division; four of Rainbow Media’s corporate departments - Creative Services, Information Technology, Research and Facilities; and the Company’s real estate activities. DiPasquale also oversees Cablevision’s PVI Virtual Media Services, a company that provides real-time virtual enhancement technology solutions for television. He was named to this post in April 2008.
DiPasquale holds the unique distinction of being one of the first employees of Rainbow Media when it was founded in 1980. He started his career at the company as director of accounting. DiPasquale then held several positions of escalating responsibility, including controller from 1983 until 1988, director of finance from 1988-1993, vice president of finance from 1993-1997, senior vice president of finance and operations from 1997-2001, and senior vice president of operations from 2001-2008. During his three-decade tenure at Rainbow Media, DiPasquale has played a key role in helping the company evolve into the entertainment industry leader that it is today. While overseeing Finance, DiPasquale played a key role in several strategic partnerships for Rainbow Media, including partnerships with The Washington Post Company, CBS, Liberty Media, Fox and NBC. Since heading up Rainbow Media’s operations, he led the development of RNC’s state-of-the-art broadcast center, the creation of Rainbow Post & Media Services and the relocation of Rainbow Media’s headquarters from Long Island to Manhattan.
Prior to joining Rainbow Media, DiPasquale was with MCP Facilities Corporation as their assistant controller.
DiPasquale holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Hofstra University. He is a member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM). DiPasauale is co-chair of Rainbow’s green committee. He also serves as a board member for the Acompora Foundation.
